The Lair of the White Worm | Forgotten Horror 8
What did we just watch? Why it's Ken Russell's The Lair of the White Worm! The Bram Stoker story loosely adapted by Ken Russell into a tale of the D'Ampton Worm, which is actually a giant snake that was supposedly killed many years ago. But wait! It wasn't. And it's up to the 12th doctor and an Oompa Loompa to save day!
That's right, a young Peter Capaldi and Hugh Grant defend our realm against this totally realistic looking white snake worm. But the star of the movie is Amanda Donohoe as Lady Sylvia Marsh, our evil doer who camps it up with every scene and clearly understood the assignment.
